Sarkan Grafana Dashboard

Sarkan comes with Grafana dashboard as a monitoring tool designed to provide real-time insights into the health and performance of the Sarkan.

Panels Overview

Dashboard consists of panels that reflect various metrics and statuses of the SaunaFS cluster and provide insights into space usage, server status, read/write operations, and system health:

• Total Space in the Cluster
  • Shows the total space available in the cluster.
• Available Space in the Cluster
  • Displays the available space in the cluster, with thresholds.
• Metadataservers
  • Indicates the number of active compared to expected number of metadata servers in the cluster.
• Chunkservers
  • Displays the number of active compared to expected number of chunk servers.
• Metadata Version
  • Shows the highest metadata version on cluster volumes.
• Metadata Volumes
  • Displays detailed information about metadata volumes, including their status and version.
• Metadata Server Status History
  • Visual representation of the metadata server statuses over time.
• Chunks
  • Provides details about the total, endangered, lost, and safe data chunks in the system.
• Files, Directories, Trash Files, Reserved Files
  • Displays the count of files, directories, trash files, and reserved files in the cluster.
• Used Space
  • Tracks the space usage in the cluster over time.
• Trash Space
  • Displays the amount of space used by trashed files.
• Reserved Space
  • Displays the amount of space used by reserved files.
• Chunk Volumes
  • Shows detailed chunk volume statistics, including space usage, volume evicting, and volume damaged.
• Read Operations
  • Shows read operations and bytes read per second in the cluster.
• Write Operations
  • Displays write operations and bytes written per second in the cluster.
• Total Cluster Containers CPU Usage
  • Tracks the CPU usage of cluster containers.
• Total Cluster Containers Memory Usage
  • Displays memory usage statistics for cluster containers.
• Memory Usage
  • Displays memory usage of the SaunaFS cluster.
• Raft Term
  • Shows information about Raft terms related to cluster leadership.
